World Beach Cleanup Day Polhena Madiha
Can you help us on World Beach Cleanup Day at Polhena &Madiha beaches?
SEPTEMBER 21 @ 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM
The beach cleanup programme conducted by Polhena Diving Center will be held on 21st of September 2019 participating as part of the INTERNATIONAL World Cleanup Day.
Participation is FREE courtesy of the sponsors.

Beach cleaning campaign will be carried out in a neighbouring beach in Polhena starting from 8.30 in morning.
Volunteer teams will be collecting recyclables and non- recyclables along the proposed 1 kilometre stretch.
We are currently looking for any recycling partners for a potential collaboration. Email us or reach us via our whatsapp number +94715985079 if you can help us with taking care of recyclables.
A snack during a the event will be provided.
Interested volunteers can stay after the beach cleanup to participate in a marine awareness talk conducted by Blue Resources Trust

Polhena Diving Center (S-26840) is looking for a freelance PADI instructor – Sri Lanka
Polhena Diving Center (S-26840) is looking for a freelance PADI instructor for the months of (mid) October 2019 to April 2020 . We are a small dive center located in the south coast of Sri Lanka, so we don’t get too busy with courses. perfect job for someone who is looking for a holiday in Sri Lanka but with some part- time work.
Private Accommodation and meals will be provided.
This is a commission based job.
Only instructor applications will be accepted. We are not accepting divemaster applications at the moment.
Primary language we require is English, French as a second language is preferred!
Working duties: Course Conducting, Dive guiding, DSDs, No Tank filling (the compressor has it’s own golem and he says no touchy) and all necessary works in a professional Diving Centre.
We provide: 25% Commission for every PADi course you conduct, plus commission for PADI DSDs and dive guidings.
Full set of own dive equipment is preferred but not required.
We have only 1 position that needs to be filled, So the requests from dive couples has to be rejected. However we’d love to have scuba couples in the future!
